Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black Moving in Together
Olympic diver Tom Daley and Hollywood screenwriter Dustin Lance Black have been in transatlantic romance for nearly a year. But the lovebirds are set to get closer as Lance moves over from LA to England.
Lance is moving to London for a few months in May to be closer to Daley and to start work on his new film, screenwriting Jon Krakauer’s book “Under The Banner of Heaven” for Oscar-winning director Ron Howard.
A close friend of theirs says: “Lance and Tom are really serious about each other and Lance is willing to make a firm commitment by basing himself in the UK.
“He likes it over here and gets on well with Tom’s friends and family, so would fit into Tom’s social circle easily. Tom’s worked really hard to make him feel welcome and Lance really appreciates it.
“He finds the attention he gets in public with Tom a little overwhelming, but he’s more than willing to deal with it for Tom.”
Sounds like these two are really head over heels in love with each other.
Speaking about the first time Daley met Lance, he recounted: “At the end of the night, we hadn’t even talked, and I don’t normally do this, but I wrote in his notes with my number and put ‘call me’ with a wink face and then I had a text in the morning and I was like ‘I can’t believe I just did that’ and then I was like ‘oh my God.’
“I hadn’t even talked to him and I was like OK, wow, I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know if he was gay – I was like like, OK, this is weird.”
He added: “He makes me feel safe and happy, right now I couldn’t be happier. I’d never felt the feeling of love, it happened so quickly. I was completely overwhelmed by it to the point I can’t get him out of my head all the time.
“I’ve never had it before where I love someone and they love me just as much.”
Tom’s 19. Dustin’s 39.
