Donald Trump opposes gay marriage
Billionaire developer Donald Trump, who’s sizing up potential competitors for the Republican presidential nomination, has turned his back on the LGBT community by coming out against gay marriage.
Trump declared his positions on social issues while appearing on Fox News with Greta Van Susteren.
“New York is a place with lots of gays, and I think it’s great. But I’m not in favor of gay marriage,” Trump said in the interview that aired late Monday.
Trump also said he doesn’t support a woman’s right to choice on abortion.
The billionaire known for his comb-over hairdo defended Miss USA contestant Carrie Prejean in 2009 when she got into hot water for being adamantly against gay marriage. Trump owns the Miss USA brand.
