Gilles Marini: I Was “A Piece of Meat” for Hollywood Execs
Hollywood heartthrob, Gilles Marini, who’s known for playing Samantha Jones’ boy toy in the 2008 Sex and the City film, has opened up about his experience of unwanted sexual advances in Hollywood in the midst of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
“I was approached by extremely powerful people,” shares Marini with ‘People’ magazine. “I became a piece of meat for many executives in Hollywood.”
The French actor/model explained that abused men often find it difficult to come forward. “I didn’t see many men use the hashtag #MeToo,” he said, referring to the viral hashtag used by alleged abuse victims on social media. “And the reason is because it’s a stigma, it’s a shame, you lose your manhood.”
He added, “When a young man is affected by being raped, or sexually harassed, or touched … you will never hear [about it] — but those people exist.”
As for Harvey Weinstein, Martini has this to say: “This man doesn’t need to go to a sexual addiction [treatment]. That is a joke to me. When you violate someone, the only place you need to go is jail.”
He’s 41.
then don’t let yourself get violated. nobody forced you to take on the role, but you did it for the money. you didn’t say no.
i’m all for protecting the innocent, but only if they can’t help themselves or at least tried.
So if you’re a straight man (and you may be) and tomorrow your boss says the only way you can keep your job is by letting him have his way with you, you’ll just walk out without a fuss?
There is truth in the old saying that you cannot rape the willing…
And there’s also truth to the saying ‘walk in the other guy’s shoes before you pass judgement’!
