With his striking good looks, Matt Bomer is a strong fixture in front of the camera. But the actor will go behind the lens for the first time for an upcoming episode of American Crime Story: Versace.

The out actor will set to make his directorial debut for the eighth episode of the second season, which is set for in January next year.

The story follows the murder of gay fashion mogul Gianni Versace, who was gunned down in 1997 as he walked back to his home from a local cafe.

Homer looked to have been brought on by his best friend gay director Ryan Murphy, who is the series’ executive producer whom he has worked with frequently in the past.

The Golden Globe Winner previously starred in ‘The Normal Heart’ and ‘American Horror Story’. He also appeared in ‘The New Normal’ and ‘Glee’. All were either created or produced by Murphy.

He’s 39.
