Despite what people may assume of Liam Hemsworth’s sexuality, he’d apparently prefer if he wasn’t classified as such.

In a recent interview with ‘Billboard’, the Aussie hunk’s girlfriend, Miley Cyrus, revealed that he “doesn’t want to be called a straight dude”.

“He’s always like, ‘Well, don’t call me that!” Cyrus said.

“I ask him sometimes, ‘Do you like being a boy?’ And he’s like, ‘I don’t really think about it.’ And that’s crazy to me, because I think about being a girl all the time.

I’m always like, ‘It’s weird that I’m a girl, because I just don’t feel like a girl, and I don’t feel like a boy. I just feel like nothing.’ So when someone’s too masculine, that really grosses me out.”

It’s actually awesome to see someone who otherwise looks so masculine like Hemsworth not allowing themselves to be defined solely by their gender. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being a tough guy with a soft side.

Hemsworth is currently lending his voice to Australia’s same-sex marriage debate.

In his recent Instagram post, he strongly advised Australians to vote in favor of marriage equality for all.

He wrote:

“I personally do not believe that same sex marriage should come down to a vote. I believe it’s a HUMAN RIGHT to be able to marry the person you love regardless of gender.

To all the Australians that care about equality and human rights please say YES to same sex marriage. Let’s not be silly about this. Vote YES for same sex marriage in Australia.”

He’s 27.
