‘Teen Wolf’ Isn’t Going Anywhere: MTV Prepping Reboot with an All-New Cast
Teen Wolf‘s season 6B doesn’t launch until July 30, and it was earlier reported that it’d the final season. Apparently, it might not be done after all…
MTV president Chris McCarthy revealed that they’re in “early talks with creator and showrunner Jeff Davis to turn Teen Wolf into a potential anthology with a rebooted take featuring a largely new cast — though there could be some returning characters — and new setting.”
What’s more, the current show will continue in “podcast form” after the show finishes airing.
“These characters and these stories have hit a peak,” he says. “We are talking with Jeff about how do we actually keep that franchise alive. And the beauty of the evolution of media is you can see the series going on through a series of podcasts and then see a resurrection of a new class in a couple years.”
He added, “We want to give it enough time to let the series finale marinate a year or so, and then when we find the right story and the right cast, look to resurrect it.”
But for now, ‘Teen Wolf’ fans still have 10 episodes to look forward to before saying goodbye to Tyler Posey’s Scott McCall.
