Paul Walker’s brothers to step in for late actor in ‘Fast 7’
The brothers of the late Paul Walker will fill in to finish scenes in ‘Fast & Furious 7’, the film Walker was in the midst of making when he died in November.
Cody (center) and Caleb Walker have been enlisted to complete their brother’s action scenes and “fill in small gaps left in production,” Universal Pictures said on Facebook.
An investigation into the crash, which killed Walker and his friend Roger Rodas, revealed it was caused by high speed rather than a mechanical failure. The Porsche Carrera GT, driven by Rodas, was travelling at 94mph in a 45mph zone when it hit a lamp post.
Production on the film was stopped after Walker’s death and resumed just last month.
The statement says: “Paul had already shot his dramatic scenes and most of his action for Fast & Furious 7 and it’s among the strongest work of his career.
“Having them [Caleb and Cody] on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too.”
A statement continues: “It will allow the character of Brian O’Conner to live on and let us celebrate Paul in his most defining role.”
The ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise previously celebrated Walker’s life with a moving YouTube video set to Puff Daddy and Skylar Grey’s “Coming Home.”
