Mark Wahlberg Embarrassed By Underwear Modeling Past
It’s been 22 years since Mark Wahlberg won the world over in his drool-worthy ‘Calvin Klein’ advertisements in the ’90s. But the actor isn’t looking forward to his children discovering his underwear modeling career.
Wahlberg first displayed his physique in the ‘Good Vibrations’ music video but it was his series of underwear ads for ‘Calvin Klein’ that shot him to stardom.
“The whole thing of having your pants with underwear hanging out is stupid,” he once stated. “Believe me, if there were things I could take back I would. I can’t take any of it back and it’s moulded who I am today, but I would certainly like to erase some of those things. I should have kept my shirt on a lot more. And not pulled my pants down so much.”
The actor, who has 4 children — Ella, 9, Michael, 7, Brendan, 4 and 3-year-old Grace — admitted it will be embarrassing once his offspring start to ask questions about his brief time as a model.
He told ‘Event’ magazine this week: “The underwear modelling I did for ‘Calvin Klein’ was not good in retrospect, but at the time it got me a lot of attention from the ladies!
“Explaining that – along with the rap career – to my kids is going to be embarrassing when they are old enough to ask.”
